Our Family
Photo by Gary Campbell www.mvppix.net We are the Weaver’s of Ridgeland, SC, an active family, with interests in many things. We love our small town in the Lowcountry and are owned by 6 dogs, 3 cats and lots of beautiful wildlife. Our property is Morningstar Farms, a tribute to Windi’s grandmother, Mary Ann Morningstar Morris. She was a strong and pioneering woman who rescued animals of every kind, started her own animal shelter, had a county one named after her, and was a much loved humanitarian feeding many of the needy people in her area. Windi’s passions are the animals which is a family trait. She competes with her fur babies in agility (she trains at Doggie Doos), flyball (our team is Dogsmack), dock diving, herding and JRTCA events. She also runs a rescue organization (Morningstar Animal Rescue) and is a Lab Tech/Vet Assistant at Riverwalk Animal Hospital in the Okatie, SC area. She also loves horror movies, collecting Coke memorabilia, tennis, biking, running, the beach, old movies, forensics and anything James Dean. She also cheers for the South Carolina Gamecocks and sleeps about 4 hours a night! Billy is the true athlete of the family. He had a long career in running marathons, triathlons and 10k’s in the heat of Miami but now spends his time bike racing for Team Bike Doctor of Hilton Head, and coaching Will in soccer and baseball. He works hard as a partner in Hallman/Weaver Builders so that he can ride those bikes every chance he gets. He also enjoys reading, yard work, golfing and relaxing. If interested in building a house in the Lowcountry area of South Carolina, please contact Billy at hallweavblds@hargray.com. Will is the youngest talent in the family competing in soccer, baseball, 5K’s, bike races, dog agility and dock diving. His best time in the 5K at 7 years old was 25:58! He and our Border Collie, Fli, have various agility titles (with many 1st places) and a dock dog title. They’ve also been interviewed by National Geographic and the Macon, GA newspaper. He thinks he might like to give flyball a try next. Will is 9 years old and is in the 3rd grade at Thomas Heyward Academy. He is always complimented on his good manners and sportsmanship. He loves all kinds of sports, playing with the dogs, Pokemon, Webkinz, Funkey’s, Nintendo, Lego’s and swimming (he’s a fish!). Feel free to surf our site for information on all our fur kids – retired and competition, future litters and links to other cool sites.
