This page is dedicated to the memory of Silver Belle, the most wonderful and loving Border Collie rescued from a shelter and who passed away from lymphoma January 2008.
Sweet dreams my pretty girl until we're together again. Up for Adoption
Sam is an approx. 2 year old male
Rottweiler/Shepherd Mix (affectionately known as an All American or
Heinz 57) that has persevered through so much. He was originally found
wandering along an empty highway, malnourished and almost hairless, but
even then he still had a great attitude and loved everyone. We got him
back in great shape, he looked like a million bucks. Then tragedy struck
again - poor Sam ruptured a cruciate (ACL tear). While waiting for us
to raise the funds for this expensive surgery, Sam ruptured the other
cruciate and tore a meniscus. We finally raised the funds and he
finally got the needed surgery by an orthopedic veterinary surgeon on
the 2nd ruptured cruciate. Sam is recovering very well and is a model
patient. For now there is no surgery planned for the 1st ruptured
cruciate as he is able to use that leg (intermittent lameness) and we
just don't have the necessary funds. We'd love to find a home that
accepts him as he is - not perfect but hey, who is?! Sam has all the
love in the world to give and he'd like to be a part of your family. He
is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and on heartworm prevention. For
